Welcome to Third Grade!

3rd grade students and families, welcome to our classroom blog! I hope you have had a fun filled summer and are looking forward to the 2017- 2018 school year. I am very excited for this upcoming school year and getting to meet each of you! This year is going to be full of great learning opportunities, laughter, and fun.

Before school starts, I wanted to give you the chance to get to know a little bit about me!

• I have been married almost five years to my wonderful husband Nick.
• Last April, we welcomed the sweetest baby boy, Jude, to our family!
• I have two rescue dogs: Brodie and Barkley. They are full of personality!
• I am a 2009 graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College with a
  
  degree in Elementary Education. I recently graduated from University of the Cumberlands with a Master's Degree in Reading and Writing Specialist.
• I enjoy biking, hiking, cooking, reading, being outdoors, working on Pinterest projects, spending time with my family, and shopping.

Now that you know a little bit about me, I cannot wait to get to know you!

We learned this summer that Jude is a water bug! He loves the pool!

The Louisville Zoo was one of our favorite places this summer. We loved watched the gorillas, grizzly bear, and sea lions!

         

We hiked at the Parklands, O'cannon Woods, and Cliffy Falls!

        

 

We also did Jude's favorite things: driving his red car, swinging, and reading!
